Daily T-shirts

Cool idea here.

Every day, Made in the Now grab a headline from around the world and get a designer / artist from around the world to interpret that story, and slap their design on a T-shirt.

The T-shirts are only available for 24 hours, and then they are onto the next headline. Brilliant product / business model for a number of reasons;

- Always fresh product
- There is a real story behind the designs
- Those stories are relevant to now
- Truly limited editions
- Gamed with countdown clock
- Stock is never wasted, as (I imagine) they print to order
- They get a high turnover of great designers to advocate their product to their existing fans
- 100% Australian made
They have something to talk about. Everyday.
- etc

A nice example from this week was from an article from The Guardian which read;

BOLIVIAN PRESIDENT EVO MORALES SUSPENDS AMAZON ROAD PROJECT

Bolivia’s president, Evo Morales, has suspended the construction of a controversial Amazon highway a day after violent clashes between police and protesters.

They got motion designer Joyce Ho to interpret this article, and this is what she came up with.

Nice. Buy them here.

Ooh, and there is an App too.
